The Neuroanthropology blog (Daniel Lende, Greg Downey and friends) organised the first ever Best of Anthropology Blogging at the very end of December. The idea was “to get to know new blogs” and to be able to “savor all the submissions”.
Urbi et Orbi was proud to be a part of this exciting online event and we are happy to have received 3 prizes for our 2008 posts :
A bizarre British ritual named Crufts: constructing social status through man’s (mutant) best friend – Article by Camilla Schickova
Semantically challenged – Artwork by Kathryn Kallady
Meditation – Photo commentary by Sarah Ghlamallah (yours truly)
This “Best of 2008″ does just what it says in that it makes for a cool reading list to kick start the new year so don’t miss out on those best 2008 posts from 36 blogs (including social, archaeological, medical, and linguistic anthropology blogs) – the selection is listed here. Enjoy your reading !
