Sarah Ghlamallah is a trained anthropologist and works for a European NGO in Paris, France. She has travelled extensively in Australia, South East Asia and Africa, living in various places and working in various fields which would require several hours and cups of coffee to outline.

Camilla Schickova first graduated in anthropology and recently completed a masters in international relations. She has travelled throughout most of Europe, coastal USA, East Africa, and worked as a volunteer in Sri Lanka on her gap year. She is an aspiring journalist and thrives off a balance between her writing and artwork. She is based in London, England.

David Luraschi is a photographer and a filmmaker based somewhere between San Francisco, USA, and Paris, France. He has a profound passion for travelling, capturing moments and the opposite sex. Recently, he dreamt that he was swimming with whales and with a movement of back fins, they would project him in the air. David is currently working on a book of his pictures entitled ‘Halfway Home’ and in production of short film called ‘Ginger Style’. His hair has been red since birth and he plans on keeping it growing.

Jeff Chouw is a biologist and photographer based in Singapore. He trained in marine science and now divides his time between a marine ecologist job and free-lance photography. He also spends a lot of time thinking, musing around, daydreaming and using poetic words like moonlighting. Jeff has a strong interest in photo-documentaries, he prefers photographic substance over pure photographic aesthetics

Jose Luis Romero is a philosopher and psychotherapist based in Madrid, Spain. Jose’s research interests are in the philosophy of mind, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis; he edited and authored several publications in these fields. He created Alter, an interdisciplinary consultancy integrating philosophical counselling and psychotherapy and also works as a high school philosophy teacher. Jose is notorious for his sense of wit and creative spirit (after all, ‘he is a passionate conversationalist who can talk about many subjects late into the night’).

Kathryn Kallady is an educational psychologist and free-lance illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia. From classrooms to clinics, she is skilled in helping children and adolescents (and adults to a lesser extent) find their strengths and use them to overcome their personal issues. Her artwork is also frequently reminiscent of these inner themes. Kathryn has travelled in Europe, Asia and Australia. An optimist, her child-like mind takes her to numerous places where she usually finds new games, new experiences and new friends.

Nicolas Malinowsky is an artist from Paris, France. He trained in object design but his love of drawing and everything handmade lead him to work mostly in graphic design and illustration. He is also a musician, involved mainly in electronic music, and a DJ with a very open minded eclectic style. Nicolas has been a skateboarder for some 15 years and travelled extensively in Europe as part of skateboarding. He also spent some time working in design in the USA. Nicolas is interested in so-called urban cultures and trends, and also more generally in consumption, art and design.

Sergio Gonzalez Varela is a London-based anthropologist from Mexico. He completed his undergraduate studies in Mexico City and is now in the final stage of his PhD in London. His research interests are mainly in the anthropology of theatre, ritual and performance as well as in symbolic culture. His recent research focused on street theatre clown performance in Mexico City and play in Afro-Brazilian Capoeira in Bahia, Brazil. Aside from his anthropological passion, Sergio enjoys delving into languages, literature, philosophy, Latin American history and the art of Capoeira.

Shema Tariq is an HIV physician and medical anthropologist based in London, England. Her specialist interest is the intersection between ethnicity, gender and sexuality, with a focus on HIV and reproductive rights. She is currently lead investigator for a doctoral project examining the experience of pregnant African women living with HIV in London. Outside this, Shema enjoys the nostalgia and glamour of burlesque and has a shoe collection to rival Sarah’s.
